The Chicago Blackhawks have taken a significant step by signing 2023 third-round draft pick Jiri Felcman to an AHL amateur try-out deal for the rest of the season.

This move marks Felcman's transition to North American professional hockey after a successful stint in Switzerland's U20 league.

Felcman, an 18-year-old centerman, showcased his skills in Switzerland, tallying 23 points in 26 games in the U20 league.

He also made his mark in the Swiss League, contributing four points in 13 games, and played five games in the National League, recording one assist.

Additionally, this move nullifies his prior commitment to Langnau of the National League for the upcoming season.

With his impressive performance overseas, Blackhawks fans are eager to see how Felcman will fare in the AHL and potentially in the NHL in the future.
