Connor Bedard issues statement on hitting Patrick Kane

Patrick Kane and the Detroit Red Wings faced off against Connor Bedard and the Chicago Blackhawks on Sunday.

This was not just a night of rivalry between the original-6 teams, but also a test of rookie Connor Bedard by a legendary player who returned to the Windy City.


However, Kane would leave with the last laugh, with a great wrist shot to end the game 3-2 in overtime.


Bedard would end up finishing a good check on Patrick Kane during the game, which made waves in the media because the youngster, laid a great hit on the veteran.

Kane would joke about Bedard wearing his fishbowl, stating if he wasn't wearing that thing, he'd have gone after him.

This game, ended the 1st meeting between two titans, as Kane won the first battle.

Bedard is now 0-1 against the Red Wings with Patrick Kane, and it's time to step it up!

The Chicago Blackhawks are currently 15-39-5 and last in the Central Division.
