The Blackhawks are officially out of playoff contention, no surprises there.

They've got some work to do before they can think about being contenders again.

Even with star power like Connor Bedard, winning takes more than just one player. Just look at Michael Jordan back in the day – he needed Scottie Pippen, Bill Cartwright, and Horace Grant to take down the Pistons.

Bedard's facing a similar challenge to MJ's Bulls, back when they were still finding their groove.

According to a recent tweet from Big Head Hockey, the Blackhawks have some less-than-stellar stats to contend with. Since 2020-2021, Connor McDavid's racked up an impressive 64 3-point games. Meanwhile, the Hawks are sitting at 54 – not bad, but not quite up there with the big guns like McDavid and the Coyotes.

It's just a reminder that dynasties don't come easy. But hey, there's always next season.
