Seth Jones, while a top defenseman, is considered overpaid with a $9.5 million AAV. His offensive output hasn't met expectations, and his defensive play has been lacking compared to his elite counterparts.
Andreas Athanasiou, with a $4.25 million AAV, has struggled with injuries and performance. Despite his potential, he's yet to score a goal in 16 games, making his contract concerning as it extends into next season.
