It seems that after every loss that the Blackhawks take, Richardson seems to have the same message repeatedly.
Many fans feel that Richardson may have out lasted his time in Chicago as several of their young talented players are starting to hit walls in their stats and the way they play their game.
This issue is no more prevalent then in Connor Bedard's game. After bursting on the scene of the NHL last year and putting together a good season considering all the adversity, he faced including a broken jaw, he still managed to put 22 goals into the net.
This season even healthy, he's only managed to bulge the twine five times. He has been helpful with over 14 assists but as a pure goal scorer, Bedard would rather be putting the puck in the net at a rapid pace.
General manager Kyle Davidson explained several weeks ago that Richardson's job is safe and that he gives his blessing on what's been going on with the Blackhawks.
But with the Christmas break on the horizon, many teams begin to evaluate their coaching staff and with the Blackhawks dead last and no signs of improvement which was the hallmark of what Davidson's plan was this season, he may change his mind on Richardson.
There are several good coaches out there who may be worth looking at and who could change the fortunes for this team and Connor Bedard.
Blackhawks fans will have to wait and watch to see what will happen over the coming weeks but it's clear that the Blackhawks appear to be going nowhere, and a change may be on the horizon after all.
