BREAKING: The Chicago Blackhawks Have Announced a Surprising Signing
Despite finishing the 2022-23 regular season strongly with the Chicago Blackhawks, the organization is not guaranteeing this forward a roster spot.
Forward Anders Bjork has opted for a one-year AHL contract with the Rockford IceHogs, as reported by Charlie Roumeliotis of NBC Sports Chicago. Bjork, familiar with AHL play, spent much of the last season with the Buffalo Sabres' affiliate, the Rochester Americans. Although surprising, given his impressive eight points in 13 games for the Blackhawks, Bjork's decision for a one-way AHL contract raises eyebrows for not securing at least a two-way NHL deal.
