"The Chicago Blackhawks and general manager Stan Bowman have made the first of what could be a couple big moves today. While many expected the Blackhawks to be sellers, it looks like they might be buyers. According to NHL insider Pierre LeBrun, the Hawks have acquired forward Adam Gaudette. Gaudette had been mentioned in trade rumors the last couple of weeks and has found a new home. Matthew Highmark will be going the way. The 24 year old Gaudette has 7 points in 33 games so far this season. More details to come.
