The Chicago Blackhawks got some extra help last night, in the form of a bat before the game started against the Edmonton Oilers.

While we don't know the bat's GAA, or points total for an entire 82-game season, we know the Blackhawks need help.
This is after the team had decided to send prospect Colton Dach back down to the minors, after activating Craig Smith off of the injured reserve.
The Bat's presence during a fan's video and post on "X" gave us a little chuckle, as he joked the bat has a better net front presence than the Hawks.
The Hawks needed all the help they could get against the Edmonton Oilers who came into town with a record of 33-16-4, with Connor McDavid, and Leon Draisaitl in tow.
Could "The Bat" stop them better than Petr Mrazek? Given how wild he plays out of the crease, "The Bat" might have a better chance at stopping pucks.
What about someone like Teuvo Teravainen? He is a former Stanley Cup winner with the Hawks seems to have gone dry once again during the team's latest stretch.
In 52 games played with the Hawks, he's only scored 34 points (11 G, 23 A) and only has 1 point in his last 5 games.
I'm not sure he could do worse than Turbo at the moment.
The Blackhawks need some luck, some kind of help and maybe it won't be from Bruce Wayne, or the Batman.
But, the newest free agent signing will only require a salary of mosquitoes.
A huge plus as arguably, they've overpaid for a majority of their veterans this season.
