Chicago Blackhawks put their players through grueling morning skate
In a surprise move, Chicago Blackhawks head coach Luke Richardson pushed his team through a grueling morning skate today.
Despite coming off a 5-4 overtime win against the San Jose Sharks in their last game, Richardson felt it was necessary to amp up the intensity.
The players endured a tough session of "bag skating," a drill known for its physical toll, as they skated back and forth relentlessly.
This drill, often used for times after a poor performance, came as a surprise to many considering the Blackhawks' recent victory.
Richardson's decision to push his team through the workout makes it know that his work ethic to keep them focused and motivated moving forward is strong.
