Former Blackhawk goalie Marc-Andre Fleury has set a new record tonight, as he is now tied for second most played games in the NHL at 1,440.

This season is the last year we'll get to see Marc-Andre Fleury suit up in the NHL. Fleury has won multiple Stanley Cups with the Pittsburgh Penguins and was a part of the Vegas Golden Knights expansion in 2017.
Tonight, he'll mark history yet again, as tonight he'll play his 1,044th game in the NHL by a goaltender.
Fleury ties Roberto Luongo tonight, with this milestone, and his career has yet to be concluded as the NHL season is still ongoing.
Looking at his stats on HockeyDB before tonight, he had played 1,043 games in the NHL with a career record of 572-335-97, with a 2.60 GAA, and a .912 save percentage all-time.
Just last Thursday he set another record for himself:
Fleury's 76th career shutout also made NHL history. According to the Wild, Fleury is the first goalie to record an NHL shutout as a teenager and after turning 40.
Fleury never ceases to amaze us all with what he can do as a player in the NHL still producing quality starts for the Wild.
While maintaining a great sense of humor through the brutal grind of an 82-game season.
Flower is known across the league for his lighthearted nature and friendly ribbing of teammates alike.
He'll leave behind a legacy in the NHL which will be difficult to match after tonight, as he's been a goalie in the league since 2005.
Now, with 21 years under his belt, we'll have to say goodbye to one of the NHL's humanitarians, and legends in Fleury.
Fleury's $2.5 million contract expires at the end of the season.
