Major injury news plagues Detroit Red Wings forward
The Detroit Red Wings have hit a rough patch lately, losing seven games in a row in regulation.
This unexpected slump has caused them to lose their nine-point lead in the standings.
Adding to their troubles, captain Dylan Larkin's injury has left the team feeling lost on the ice, resulting in inconsistent performances. Currently, they're outside the playoff picture, trailing the Tampa Bay Lightning by four points.
There's a glimmer of hope as Larkin returned to practice yesterday morning at Little Caesars Arena, skating alongside his teammates. However, he's expected to sit out the next couple of games against the Buffalo Sabres and the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Before his injury, Larkin was having a strong season with 26 goals and 28 assists, averaging a point per game.
Unfortunately, he got injured during last Saturday's game against the Florida Panthers, which ended in a 4-0 loss for Detroit.
