Connor Bedard reflects on scoring goal from incredibly tough angle in the Blackhawks' upset 4-1 win against the Tampa Bay Lightning on Tuesday. The 19-year old former first-overall pick fired a wicked wrister from the right faceoff circle, beating goaltender Jonas Johansson to tally his 14th goal this year.

The Blackhawks were going into a game against a red hot goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy on Tuesday night, the Russian netminder has never lost a game against the Blackhawks in his career.
Until, Vasilevskiy was ruled out last second. Andrei Vasilevskiy injury: ruled out of game vs Blackhawks
Bedard took advantage of the weaker netminder being in goal, and embarrassed him with a wicked goal, as he caught goaltender Johansson deep in his crease.
He scored during the second frame with 10:19 to go, with Seth Jones and Nick Foligno earning the primary and secondary assists.
"I saw enough room for puck to go in," Bedard told ESPN. "It was late in the power play and just thought I'd give it a go. I've tried that shot a million times, and I finally put one in."

"You don't know til it's in, but you can feel if it's a good shot. It felt good leaving my stick."

Connor Bedard reflects on Blackhawks 4-1 upset win vs Lightning Tuesday

The Blackhawks are 16-29-5 and last in their very own Central Division, losing 13/17 of their last games as well. Going into a game against a very tough Tampa Bay Lightning roster, who is still pushing for extra points for their playoffs run, seemed like an impossible scenario imagining the Blackhawks coming out with a win.
Arvid Soderblom stood tall, making 34 saves, helping the Blackhawks snap their seven-game long losing streak on the road.
He (Soderblom) said this was his favorite of his 34 saves:
"Obviously, it was a big game for them there. It's a pretty tight race for
the playoffs. They were playing hard, and we were playing hard. We have a lot of pride in ourselves. But that makes it fun, though."
