Kyle Davidson and the Chicago Blackhawks have made a difficult choice, which last season was to tear it all down. Once assets started arriving, Davidson entertained moving Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews.

In the end, Jonathan Toews was informed in Seattle that the club wouldn't be extending a contract offer.

Toews has suffered through a chronic illness but nevertheless did his best to contribute to the end.

"All good things come to an end."

He said goodbye to all the fans last night and after all of the achievements he shared with Chicago, it will be tough for him to say goodbye.

You can see him hold back the tears as he signs on an interview with his former teammate and color analyst Patrick Sharp and play-by-play announcer Chris Vosters.

Toews will finish his 15-year career in Chicago with 1,067 NHL games played, 372 goals, 511 assists for 883 points, and 3 Stanley Cup rings.
