An NHL All-Star has sadly has lost his battle with cancer

Former Minnesota North Stars defenseman Brad Maxwell has left us, sadly passing away to lung cancer. He was a prominent figure in the hockey world, known for his time with the North Stars and other teams like the Quebec Nordiques, Toronto Maple Leafs, Vancouver Canucks, and New York Rangers.
Despite missing out on a Stanley Cup, Maxwell's illustrious career saw him win the Memorial Cup in 1977 and become an NHL All-Star in 1983-84.
He played over 600 NHL games, amassing 368 career points. The hockey community mourns his loss, sending condolences to his family and loved ones.
