Last night, the Chicago Blackhawks lost 5-2 to the Vancouver Canucks. This was Rick Tocchet's first win as Vancouver's new head coach. In the loss, Petr Mrazek stopped 43 of the Canucks' 48 shots. Patrick Kane and Sam Lafferty were the only scorers for the Hawks.

In the third period, Hawks forward Max Domi injured his own goalie with a careless move. While Mrazek was on the ice, Canucks forward Dakota Joshua rushed to the net and buried the puck to make it 3-2. After Joshua shot the puck, he was checked from behind by Max Domi toward Mrazek. Joshua immediately dropped down on the Hawks goalie. It took a few minutes for the Czech goalie to catch his breath and continue the game. During the same game, Max Domi was given a 10-minute misconduct penalty for punching a Canucks player who hit forward Patrick Kane.

So far Domi is having a great season with the Hawks. In 46 games he has scored 33 points, including 14 goals and 19 assists. The former first-round pick of the 2013 NHL Draft is expected to be traded to a contender team at the deadline. Domi could fetch the Hawks a nice return.
