With the trade deadline approaching, the Blackhawks are looking into letting go 3 core players.

Recently announced Blackhawks GM (General Manager) Kyle Davidson has made it very clear they are going through a rebuild stage, and are approaching this years trade deadline as sellers, not buyers.

Starting with Calvin De Haan, Hawks Defenceman #44. De Haan is currently going through the worst NHL season of his entire career. Being -16 on the season as well as 1 goal and 4 assists on the season. De Haan is currently on the last year of his contract, soaking up a whopping $4.5 Million.

Secondly, Ryan Carpenter. The 31 year old Centerman has clearly showed his frustration on his final contract season with the Blackhawks, reaching a career-high in penalty minutes, as well as nearly doubling them from last season. As a fourth line centerman, that is not ideal for the team. Carpenter is on his last season of his $1 Million dollar contract.

Lastly, Brandon Hagel. The young 23 year old Blackhawks forward is currently having a career-high season, with 17 goals and 13 assist in 48 games and can easily improve any NHL teams top 6 as well as power play. Meaning Hagels trade value is at an all-time high, with a cap hit of $1.5m, Hagel can make a huge difference in a already dominant team.
