BREAKING: Florida Panthers Make a HUGE MOVE..
The Florida Panthers had quite the season for the books as they broke multiple franchise records in one single year with their dominant performance, leading the NHL as well as leading the NHL in favor to winning the Stanley Cup.
But what happened once the playoffs hit? The Florida Panthers struggled to make it out of the first round but sure did so, when they met up with their rivals the Tampa Bay Lighting in the second round- it was expected Tampa would come out strong.
What went wrong in Florida? They were the best team in the NHL during the regular season but nearly the opposite of best once the playoffs hit? Some say it is goaltending but most are blaming the coaching staff.
Adam Brunette of their coaching staff members (head coach) was a top-3 finalists for the Jack Adams Trophy for best coach in the entire league, his assistants Ulf Samuelsson and Derek MacKenzie helped him get to that point.
The Florida Panthers took it to media on Sunday June 12 to announce that they are firing both Derek MacKenzie and Ulf Samuelsson, the fan base not knowing how to act as they are in shock as to what purpose this move serves.
Are the Panthers planning on bringing in somebody even bigger to assistant coach?
