BREAKING: Former All-Star Goaltender Requests a Trade: Linked to Maple Leafs & Multiple Teams
This off season in the NHL may be one for the books after we're able to witness one of THEE BEST Stanley Cup matchups in history; says Elliot Friedman NHL insider.
But we have a lot in store, from free agents to big trade rumors and big name coaches waiting to be signed on, but what about the goaltenders?
It has been quite some time since a starting goaltender has been made available, especially one of this caliber. But John Gibson informed the Anaheim Ducks that he's be willing to be traded anytime and would be open to relocating elsewhere for a new and fresh start.
If you have watched a Anaheim Ducks game within the past few NHL seasons you've witnessed John Gibson's ability to carry a weak Anaheim Duck team to wins, and if a win isn't taking place- Gibson is not the reason for it, Anaheim scoring little while John Gibson is posting up 50 plus save performances.
It's scary to picture John Gibson on a team with a proper defensive and offensive system; some have stated he's rumored to be heading to the Toronto Maple Leafs and that the Leafs would be willing to send a top prospect in return to help Anaheims rebuild stage that they are going through.
