Maple Leafs Notify All 32 Teams That a Fan Favourite is Available to be Traded
The Toronto Maple Leafs have a solidified roster heading into the upcoming season, their ''core four'' is looking better than ever, Matthews, Marner, Nylander and Morgan Rielly are ready for a fresh start this season, and will run the Leafs first powerplay unit like a well oiled machine.
But it seems as if there will be one player absent, from their second powerplay, who is also a fan favourite...
That player is ''The Wayne Train'', Wayne Simmonds. Who is a tough-as nails NHL veteran of over seventeen years who is approaching his seventeenth season, sadly for Simmonds, he is not in Kyle Dubas's plans for next season. Simmonds is a 6 foot 2 player who has never shied away from getting into gritty areas on the ice, and will give it all the gas he has in the tank to produce, and protect his team, truly a team that lacks identity's goldmine.
Simmonds has a cap hit of under $1 million dollars for his final season on his current contract agreement, making it him a solid option and highly affordable for high-end teams who are struggling in the cap department. But also a no-brainer option for a rebuilding team who lacks culture , speaking of the Chicago Blackhawks and others.
