With the Chicago Blackhawks' disastrous season, fans are hoping for a fresh start in the 2022-23 season, but that may not happen anytime soon. Kyle Davidson intends to completely rebuild the team, which began with the trade of fan favourite Brandon Hagel.

On the plus side, the Blackhawks got a great deal for Brandon Hagel, and the fan base should be hoping for similar agreements in the future if they want the reconstruction to be completed effectively.

Some may be perplexed by general manager Kyle Davidson's announcement that everyone except Kane, Toews, and Jones (because to their NMC) is off the table, but he is listening to the others including Alex DeBrincat.

The fan base may think, why fix something that isn't broken? Meaning the DeBrincat-Strome-Kane line, but it seems as if Dylan Strome now won't be returning as a Blackhawk as his contract is expired and the Blackhawks had no desire to have him past last years NHL trade deadline, but no teams were interested.

Strome has a emotional connection with multiple current Blackhawks, DeBrincat, Raddysh, Katchouk and others as they all played together in juniors- as well as sharing the life of his newborn with Alex DeBrincat's newborn..

Elliot Friedman reported that he isn't convinced the Blackhawks will be offering Strome a new contract, and that teams are definitely watching him.

Dylan Strome could be a cheap contract, he is younger than most and has experience playing with Kane- why don't the Blackhawks want him?
