BREAKING: One Team to Make a ''Heavy Push'' at Acquiring Jonathan Toews
The Colorado Avalanche had their star center fall victim to a upper-body injury the other night.
MacKinnon tried playing through the injury, so it doesn't seem like he will be out for too long, but he will definitely be out a few games.
With MacKinnon being out, the Avalanche may be looking to acquire a center sooner than they had hoped.
This may be a perfect situation for the Hawks, as Toews' play so far this season has increased his trade value. If he doesn't get moved for a while, it gives time for him to potentially cool down if that were to happen for him.
Toews is a solid player and can easily keep up his solid play, but there is a better chance of his value falling, rather than declining, as he is 34-years old.
Now is a great opportunity for the Hawks to sell Toews for a nice return, as long as Toews grants permission.
