BREAKING: The United Centre Has Voted to go on Strike
According to a report from ABC 7 in Chicago Wednesday morning, the concessions workers at the Bulls/Blackhawks arena have voted in favour of going on strike.
The report goes on to state that the workers haven't had a formal contract for three years and want to make more money. This will create a weird situation for the Bulls, as they play their next game on Thursday night against the Charlotte Hornets. Not too much to worry for Blackhawks fans as they don't play next until February 7th, hopefully by then they have it figured out.
The union representing the workers said in a statement
» They make the experience for the fans memorable. Unfortunately Compass/Levy is not offering all of them the wages, healthcare and benefits they deserve. Workers are ready to do whatever it takes."
Hopefully they can figure out a deal soon.
