Collin Delia went on the WGN Blackhawks radio show. He had some comments about his recent performance on the road against the Los Angeles Kings, among many other topics. So let's take a look at what he had to say.

Delia's response to if playing at home was extra motivation in his performance against Los Angeles: "Sense of I'm coming home. It's a good feeling to come back where it all started, I've watched a fair amount of games there, I've admired some great players....it was a really special moment, I prepared just like any other game, but there was definitely a little something extra there"

Delia on Jonathan Quick's style of play: "I think what I really admired about Quick was just his overall work ethic and his compete level, he never gave up on a puck. I think as an NHL goalie, that's a great habit to have and be known for. That's something I wanted to transfer to my game"

Delia on his future with the Blackhawks: "I don't know what the future holds for me personally with the organization. I take great pride in hopefully leaving it better than what I found it and doing my part in aiding and assist the transformation of the team for years to come. People [as far as fans] it can be easy to be critical especially when there is such a high standard of success. There's certain things within an organization that take time to replenish. You know maybe down the road in years to come, people will get to see how great the Blackhawks really are. Right now obviously it's challenging, but I think there's a lot coming people can be excited for. And even though I may not be a part of that, I'm happy to have been here during my time"

Delia's reaction to Marc-Andre Fleury's time with the Blackhawks: "Absolute quality human being......Just thankful to have such a quality individual in your organization. Not to say that anyone before wasn't, but he's definitely a unique individual.

Nice to hear from the Blackhawks netminder. It's clear that he realizes his time may not always be in Chicago, but he is going to do what he can to make an impact while he is here. Kevin Lankinen will mostly be in net for the majority of the remainder of the season, but Collin Delia most likely will get a few more games to show what he's got before the season is over.
