A Seventh round pick in 2021, Jalen Luypen and the Edmonton Oil Kings will be competing in the memorial cup. Luypen has amassed 64 points in the WHL regular season, and added 9 in his playoffs. For those who are unaware the memorial cup crowns a champion of the entire 60 club CHL, a Canadian Major Junior league. The 4 team tournament includes a host team, and the 3 champions of the WHL, QMJHL, and OHL; the three leagues that comprise the CHL. We wish Jalen and the Oil Kings good luck on this journey.
