With The Stanley cup final in full effect we got 30 teams on the side lines that are looking to improve their chances to be better next season. Including the Boston Bruins who had a early first round exit by the hands of the Carolina Hurricanes, while the New Jersey Devils weren't even close to making the playoffs.
The bright side for New Jersey they got the second overall pick in this upcoming draft in Montreal. However the Devils are looking to deal that pick in hopes to speed up their rebuild by trying to land a star in return. The Devils and Bruins are believed to be in talks as the Bruins are interested in what they could get with that pick.
The Hockey Writers revealed the Devils are looking at David Pastrnak who's believed to be almost done with the Bruins after the firing of Bruins head coach Bruce Cassidy. The pick could end up being Shane Wright if the Canadiens decide to take Juraj Slafkovsky instead of Wright which some insiders believe.
The question now are the Bruins going to pick Don Sweeny or David Pastrnak? I guess will find it if this trade happens stay tuned.
