Bryan Bickell & His Family on His Fight Through MS Chronic Disease
Bryan Bickell, serving a memorable 9 seasons with the Chicago Blackhawks, and 10 in the NHL. Winning 3 cups with Chicago in 2010, 2013 and 2015.
After leaving the Blackhawks,
going to the Carolina Hurricanes, Bickell played in 7 games to start the season before his symptoms of his worsening condition became too much for himself.
(MS) Multiple Sclerosis causes nerve damage in the nervous system, over time it can lead to issues with vision, weakening in the muscles, loss of balance & plenty more.
After diagnosis and announcing his retirement in the 2016-2017 season, Bickell decided to sign a one day contract, to retire as a Blackhawk.
