The Edmonton Oilers had one heck of a end to their regular season, a huge nine game win streak that was all put together by two key players throughout the season- Leon Draisaitl and Connor McDavid.

In round one of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, Leon Draisaitl suffered a ankle injury that left him in question to play as he was a game time decision for the most important game of the series, game 7.

Draisaitl played through that injury noticeably limping each play and suffering high pain when getting on the bench, but the Oilers pushed through and got the win. The Oilers then faced the Calgary Flames in the battle of Alberta just days after Leon's injury not giving him much time to recover.

Calgary has clearly taken note as they have purposely targeted Draisaitl's hurt ankle on multiple occasions, one of the very few was finally published and recorded online.

The Flames were seen slashing and one even cross checking the specific injured ankle on the Oilers star, a whopping total of 7 directed slashes/hits in the matter of just 10 seconds.

The NHL player safety association was made aware of the scenario and stated they will now keep a close eye on it for any more.
