The Chicago Blackhawks usually have had a good chunk of players head to the Olympics around this time of year, but it seems as if Patrick Kane and others did not want too and it all makes sense why

The Jones brothers Caleb and Seth accepted the invitation to play for team USA, as well as Chicago Blackhawks forward Sam Lafferty.

Some players choose not to go to the Olympics for one reason, and that is risking injury. Today, team USA has announced that Blackhawks Caleb Jones will miss the entire tournament as well as will be flying back to Chicago to evaluate a wrist injury that was suffered in a pre tournament game.

Some sources have mentioned it is a undisclosed injury but team USA has announced it is wrist related, and the severity of it shows as he'll miss the entire tournament and is forced to head back to Chicago.

It is like the Kirby Dach situation where he broke his wrist, and it affected the development of his NHL career due to participating in the World Juniors.
