Connor Bedard reveals a moment that has brought him to tears
The Vancouver Canucks faced the Boston Bruins in the 2011 Stanley Cup finals. Canucks fans hoped that they could beat the Bruins to secure their first Stanley Cup, but they ended the 39-year cup drought of the Bruins.
Canucks fans were upset, causing a legitimate riot, but there were also sad Canucks fans in Vancouver at the time.
Ultimately, the Bruins won the Cup, winning four games to the Canucks' three.
It tore apart the city of Vancouver as Bedard, a huge Canucks fan, wept for a week mourning the loss.
Although it was all tears for the finals, Bedard got to enjoy the playoffs in between, as he went to game 5 against the San Jose Sharks.
All the while, he witnessed Alexander Burrows defeat the Blackhawks in game 7.
One day, hopefully, Bedard will help the Blackhawks lift the cup as they rebuild year after year, in hopes that the team will be contenders soon.
