There's no place like home. There's no place like home. The New York Rangers are on some kind of roll on home ice at Madison Square Garden. With their 6-2 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals Wednesday, they improved to 7-1 on home ice. All seven of those wins have come since their Game 1 triple overtime home loss to Pittsburgh in the opening round.

Rangers goaltender Igor Shesterkin moved into some pretty elite company Wednesday with his seventh straight home playoff win. He is now tied with a number of netminders, most notably former Blackhawk Corey Crawford who accomplished the feat during the 2014 playoffs.

During his seven-game home ice winning streak, Shesterkin has a 1.99 goals against average and a .948 save percentage. Crawford was even better during his run with a 1.26 GAA and a .959 SV%.

It's not surprising to see Shesterkin performing at a high level. He led the league in GAA (2.07) and SV% (.935) during the regular season. He is only 2-4 on the road though so the Rangers' home ice is crucial to their chance at the Stanley Cup.
