Teams that are stating they are unable to make moves due to the salary cap being so tight have no excuses after a trade was announced today.
The Vegas Golden Knights have made a trade to clear cap space, and as they have been linked to Patrick Kane the last few days, this move seems to make clear indication that they are in hopes to make a big splash.
The #VGK have traded Shea Weber's contract and a 2023 fifth-round pick to #coyotes in exchange for Dysin Mayo. The Golden Knights have traded Shea Weber's expensive contract and the Arizona Coyotes will be claiming Weber's $7.85m annual salary on their cap. A true interesting trade...
