The Chicago Blackhawks we're blown out 5-1 by their division rival, the St. Louis Blues. After the game coach Derek King was not happy with his team's overall performance.
"That's not good enough. I've got to watch my words here, but we just can't do that. You can't put an effort like that out and expect to maybe steal a game from somebody."
"Whether they packed it in or not, I think guys are trying, some guys. They're just limited to what they can do out there. It really shows against a team like this, your faults, what you need to complete against that level of a team.
The lone goal for Chicago, came in the second period on a 5 on 3 power play redirection by Dylan Strome. This goal brought the Hawks within 1, but they were never really in this game.
St. Louis out shot Chicago 13-2 in the third period and 31-16 overall. The Hawks clearly gave up in the third period and their coach was not happy about it.
