Do the Blackhawks want Grzelcyk? Could the Bruins trade him?
Three former teammates could reunite with the Chicago Blackhawks, which would be amazing.
There is a lot of familiarity between these teammates, and they won the Presidents Trophy in Boston. As of now, the Chicago Blackhawks have already acquired Taylor Hall and Nick Foligno.
«I don't really know about [Derek] Forbort, but I can tell you that teams are interested in Grzelcyk,» the scout told BHN. «Maybe Donny [Sweeney] should ring up Kyle [Davidson] again in Chicago? Grzelcyk is better than any left-shot D they have now, and they have cap space. He could be great on their powerplay.»
Having Boston Bruins as a trade partner, it is possible the Blackhawks will acquire Grzelcyk. They need to shore up their left-side defense given that Wyatt Kaiser is the best left-defense they're currently rostering.
It is very likely that the team could deal Matt Gzelcyk soon if Mason Lohrei continues to show up like he has in pre-season games.
Sweeney could call up Kyle Davidson, his regular trade partner, and find a way to send Grzlecyk to Chicago as Lohrei and Matthew Poitras fight for position in the lineup.
