Evander Kane Publicly Sends Shots Towards Matthew Tkachuk During Interview
The Battle of Alberta took place in this years NHL playoffs between the Edmonton Oilers and the Calgary Flames, the heated rivalry between the two teams has been taking place since 1980 and it has yet to slow down whatsoever.
This years NHL playoffs shocked everybody by surprise, when the Edmonton Oilers beat out the Flames in just 5 games. The Flames won game one in a high scoring manner 6-9, the Oilers took that game as motivation and won the next four games straight to eliminate Calgary. The physical aspect would not have been the same without who other then
Matthew Tkachuk and
Evander Kane.
The two exchange blows all series, as shown in the video below. Matthew Tkachuk even asked Evander Kane some personal questions like, ''you want some money??'', taunting Kane as he went bankrupt in the past.
Evander Kane was recently asked how he feels about Matthew Tkachuk, and he sure did not hold back..
"I think he's a guy who likes to talk and yip and yap and make gestures. Nobody can say anything to me that I haven't already heard, so it's no skin off of my back. Sometimes when the shoe is on the other foot, people have a tough time handling it. I think that the mental aspect of maybe us competing against each other deterred him a little bit."
Tkachuk has now excited the battle of Alberta as the Flames traded him away to Florida, so it will be interesting to see how the rivalry plays out next season.
