Lightning Owner Gives $5k to 150 Arena Workers to Donate to Charity
The Tampa Bay Lightning are in search for their third Stanley Cup in a row after going back to back the last two years, and part of the positivity has came from their owner, Jeff Vinik.
Jeff Vinik has done plenty of things that have went unheard of, such as each game he has donated $50,000 per game since he bought the team which has accumulated quite the amount donated.
This time, he is supporting his arena staff from back home in Tampa with $1,500 tickets and a flight to Colorado to support the Lightning in their hopes to keep their season alive.
It does not end there! Jeff Vinik has also given $5,000 to each Tampa Bay Lightning arena employee to donate to a charity of their choice, what a class act!
It's set at $1.2m raised towards charity just from Jeff Vinik himself.
