Long-Time NHL Legend & Cup Champion Has Sadly Passed Away..
We regret to announce the passing of former Chicago Blackhawks and Toronto Maple Leafs player Jim Pappin at 82 years of age.
Pappin ranks 17th in all time scoring for the Chicago Blackhawks and his last game played was in 1977 with Cleveland. Blackhawks reporter Ben Pope perfectly shortly summarized the career of Pappin.
«Former Blackhawks forward Jim Pappin died today at age 82.
The Sudbury, Ontario, native tallied 444 points in 488 games for the Hawks from 1968 to 1975, part of a 767-game NHL career that also included stops in Toronto, California and Cleveland.»
Pappin is also the last one to score a cup winning goal for the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Pappin was a 5x NHL all star and also hoisted the cup not once, but twice throughout his NHL career.
Rest In Peace Jim Pappin, our thoughts and prayers are with the Pappin family and friends through these hard times.
