NHL Official Of 36 Years Has Sadly Passed Away..

The San Jose Sharks are saddened to announce the passing of former trainer who has spent 36 years in the NHL, being a trainer on various teams including San Jose Sharks, St.Louis Blues and the Hartford Whalers. A good chunk of his NHL career was spent, thirteen years with the Sharks.

The San Jose Sharks have released a official statement regarding the deeply saddened passing of Jim Woodcock:

THE SAN JOSE SHARKS ORGANIZATION IS SADDENED TO
ANNOUNCE THE PASSING YESTERDAY OF LONGTIME NHL ATHLETIC TRAINER TOM "WOODY" WOODCOCK. WOODY SPENT 36 YEARS AS AN NHL TRAINER WITH THE ST. LOUIS BLUES, HARTFORD WHALERS AND THE SAN JOSE SHARKS, FROM THE TEAM'S INAUGURAL SEASON IN 1991 THROUGH 2004.

HE WAS INDUCTED INTO THE HOCKEY HALL OF FAME IN 2003. WE WILL NEVER FORGET HIS DEDICATION TO THE SHARKS PLAYERS, HIS EVER-PRESENT SMILE AND HIS ABSOLUTE LOVE OF THE GAME OF HOCKEY. WE SEND OUR HEARTFELT CONDOLENCES TO HIS FAMILY, ESPECIALLY HIS WIFE,
TINA, HIS CHILDREN, KELLY, JIMMY, GAYLE AND TOM, AND HIS MANY FRIENDS AND COLLEAGUES.
