Kyle Davidson has made it clear that he is full on rebuilding the Chicago Blackhawks, and has shown it through trades so far into his manager position job title.
Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews are both sucking up a whopping $10.5 MILLION dollars of the Blackhawks cap hit, and that is something a team can simply not work with- while trying to go through a rebuild process.
Superstar forward Kane was not moved at the trade deadline, but prepare for the Blackhawks to make a big splash towards their rebuild during the off season. Kane has yet to answer a simple no to questions asking if he's going elsewhere.
Kane has mentioned numerous times he would be more than happy to be reunited with his former Blackhawk teammate Artemi Panarin who is on the New York Rangers. Kane is now at 33 years old, and deserves a shot at another playoff run- as Chicago will not be doing so anytime soon & running down Kane's final years in the league.
Kane stated he isn't thinking about moving right now, but will follow up with his thoughts in the off season.
Kane also has said:
«I think there's always business decisions. In the game of hockey, there are not many guys that play their whole career with one team, so it would be a privilege and an honor to do that. But I guess we'll see how it all plays out.»
