For Hockey fans, trade speculations involving Patrick Kane have surely been the summer's hot topic. When the superstar was first rumored to be on the Blackhawks chop block back in August, several teams were identified as possible destinations. The Rangers, Oilers, Maple Leafs, and Sabres were part of those groups of teams.

However, Patrick Kane has supposedly stated clearly that he would refuse to play for one team, according to a recent report by ESPN's Kevin Weekes.

And it is now confirmed that team is the Toronto Maple Leafs. Kane notified Kyle Davidson, the general manager of the Chicago Blackhawks, he would never play for the Toronto Maple Leafs.

"Patrick Kane has stated several times that he does not want to be a Leaf, and that he wants to go to a team that he feels actually has a chance at the Stanley Cup." Weekes stated last week on the ESPN radio.

The 33-year-$84 old's million, 8-year contract expires after the next 2022-2023 campaign. Last season, Kane led the Blackhawks with 92 points on 26 goals and 66 assists, and he does not appear to be slowing down any time soon.
