It's been quite a ride for Jimmy Buffett, who has been able to live quite comfortably off of the famed "Margaritaville" song, which has become a party song, and Buffett has turned it into an institution, as an entrepreneur.

There was a lot of sadness around Buffett's passing on September 1st as he was surrounded by his family, friends, and dogs.

RIP to a legend. Some of best nights ever backstage and onstage with you and the Stanley Cup! Always thought there would be another one. Cheers Jimmy!

The Blackhawks' Patrick Kane was another huge fan of Buffet, and you can see him in the picture below in Blackhawks colors with Buffett.

It has been five decades since Buffett has built a following he refers to as "Parrotheads". Kane will certainly be mourning the loss of a songwriter he grew to love over the years.

It is no secret that Parrotheads are enchanted by Buffett's permanent vacation style of songwriting that he embodied and trademarked.

He passed away at the age of 76, months after he had canceled a concert in South Carolina as a result of an undisclosed illness.

Margaritaville will live on!
