The natural ease of pairing players with their hometown is a prevalent thing to do annually.
So, what if Patrick Kane opted to sign with the Sabres, and add his toolkit to the young squad in Buffalo?
Here's a potential lineup for the Sabres, if Patrick Kane did choose to pack his bags and head to Buffalo for some home-cooking.
Line 1: Jeff Skinner - Tage Thompson - Patrick Kane
Line 2: Victor Olofsson - Dylan Cozens - Alex Tuch
Line 3: Peyton Krebs - Casey Middelstadt - Jack Quinn
Line 4: Brett Murray - Vinnie Hinostroza - Kyle Okposo
Pair 1: Owen Power - Rasmus Dahlin
Pair 2: Ilya Lyubushkin - Jacob Bryson
Pair 3: Henri Jokiharju - Will Butcher
Starter: Craig Anderson
Backup: Eric Comrie
These are not legitimate line configurations, but more of a visual idea of the Sabres potential 2022-23 roster.
