Predicting The Chicago Blackhawks Three years Down the Line..

The Chicago Blackhawks have a lot of decisions to make in the following weeks and how they could both positively and negatively affect the next few years of the franchise. Let's break it down year by year

2023-2023 season
For the next season there's not much to expect of anything miraculous happening. Unless Jonathan Toews or Patrick Kane are up for a trade it is unlikely but not impossible that they would follow through. Which would put up a search for a new center and right wing. However this year should be about building defencemen Lukas Reichel and Alex Vlasic who have started to make plays late into the past season. As for any draft picks it'll be interesting to see who is picked up as the Blackhawks no longer have a first pick.

2023-2024
This year could be a big one for the Blackhawks as both Kane Toews and Kirby Dach's contracts will be up, which gives for an abundant amount of cap room in the budget to get some other big names on the roster. As well as having our defense hopefully figured out as well as our head coach situation. However with Captain Toews possibly retiring or being traded, there is potential for either Alex Debrincat or Patrick Kane to take over his Captain duties as both were assistant or alternate captains. The most exciting of the 2023 season is that the Blackhawks would have a first round pick which would be something to be excited for.

2024-2025
By 2025 it is probable that the roster will look a lot different then what it does now. With the possibilities of many players being traded mid season or retirements. It is probable that players like Debrincat Murphy and Strome could be the elders of the team by that point. As well as hopefully having an experienced defense line with the hope that the offense is still preforming well. With a new face and hopefully a hunger to win the difference from 2022 to 25 will be night and day.
