REPORT: A Surprise Eastern Conference Team Wants Jonathan Toews!

With the NHL trade deadline peeking it's head up for the 2023 season we are hearing a lot of team's around the League are looking to make some big moves to either help their team's chances to compete for the playoffs, or for the sellers looking to cash in, selling some of their players off for picks or prospects.

The Chicago Blackhawks are obviously going to be sellers yet again as Blackhawks General Manager Kyle Davidson is getting his "Tank" on in hopes of drafting Connor Bedard.

Davidson has many players that are pending UFA's including "Captain Serious" Jonathan Toews. The 34 year-old is winding down his hall of fame worthy NHL career and is unfortunately battling some health issues.

Despite the concerning health issues, the Colorado Avalanche, Carolina Hurricanes, Boston Bruins, and Winnipeg Jets have all reached out to The Blackhawks Gm about acquiring Toews according to NHL Trade Source. However, according to David Pagnotta of the Fourth Period, the Washington Capitals have now entered the mix now that they are in a playoff position they are looking to add Toews to the Capitals for the playoffs.

Toews is having a decent 2022-23 season, as he has 14 goals and 28 points in 46 games on a terrible Blackhawks team, you wonder how'd he do playing along side some of the Capitals top guys including Alex Ovechkin? Stay tuned...
