Referee Makes 2 BRUTAL Calls That Costs Canada The Gold Medal (VIDEO)
Team Canada faced off against Team Finland for the gold medal finals today (Sunday May 29) 2022. This game has had a lot of hype building up to it as the two teams are powerhouses with their lineups.
The game was all tied until the referees called nonsense in the third period, assessing Finland a 5 on 3 power play due to a Finnish player high sticking himself- but the referee thought it was the Canadian whom sticked the Fin.
This has lead to Finland scoring two goals on their 5 on 3 power play burying Canada's chances to comeback with just minutes remaining in the third period.
Former NHL player Mark Methot even thought it was quite there embarrassing call.
Did you think the bad reffing was done? It wasn't! Canada tied the game up with seconds left in the third period, forcing overtime.
A Finland player dropped like a sack of potatoes with a obvious flop, and the referee called it of course.. take a look for yourself.
Finland wins gold the next power play.
