The Chicago Blackhawks Decision to Trade Panarin Continues to Look Worse
In exchange for Brandon Saad, Artemi Panarin was traded from the Chicago Blackhawks to the Columbus Blue Jackets, along with Anton Forsberg and a 2018 fifth-round pick.
Additionally, Columbus would receive a 2017 sixth-round pick and Tyler Motte. Panarin spent two seasons in Columbus before departing for greener pastures as soon as he could.
Artemi Panarin has become the 5th active player with a 12 game point streak to start the season
After signing with the New York Rangers in 2019-2020, the star forward has been tearing it up on Broadway, eventually reuniting with his former teammate Patrick Kane during the end of the 2022-2023 season.
As a result of his 12-game point streak this past season, Panarin joins a shortlist of NHL players with a 12-game point streak.
In 12 games this season, Breadman already has 7 goals and 20 points for Peter Laviolette's New York Rangers.
It seems that this trade only gets worse with time, another blemish on Stan Bowman's already tarnished reputation.
