The Chicago Blackhawks New 1st Line Gets Re-Constructed With a Key Player out
After initially claiming to be recovered, Taylor Hall is out week to week with a reactivated shoulder injury. Connor Bedard's linemates will change as the Blackhawks shift gears to stay competitive.
As a result of the Hall injury, Luke Richardson has pulled out the line blender. Hall's reinjury after the 5-3 loss to the Vegas Golden Knights really didn't help things along.
Hall served as a mentor to the first overall pick in the 2023 draft, and they built chemistry right away.
Meanwhile, the Athletic's Scott Powers reports that Connor Bedard now has new linemates while Hall is out.
They will be former Stanley Cup champion Tyler Johnson and current Blackhawks depth winger Nick Foligno.
Foligno was the first veteran to welcome Bedard to Chicago, so they already have chemistry off the ice.
It will be interesting to see how Nick Foligno, Connor Bedard, and Tyler Johnson gel.
It will be beneficial for Bedard to get ice time with different players and learn how to adjust at the same time as the Blackhawks aren't likely to contend any time soon.
