It's been a very disappointing summer if you are a New York Islanders fan. After the Islanders were believed to be signing one of two top unrestricted free agents in Johnny Gaudreau or Nazem Kadri , but for what ever reason Islanders General Manager Lou Lamoriello failed to sign either.

This has caused major backlash from the Islanders fanbase especially considering Lamoriello had a lot of cap space to make a deal. However, Lou Lamoriello would make some internal moves signing three of his restricted free agents today.

The Islanders announced they re-signed forward Kieffer Bellows to a one-year contract, defenseman Noah Dobson to a three-year contract and newly acquired defenseman Alexander Romanov to a three-year contract as well.

Lou Lamoriello might not be done as NHL Trade Rumors has recently shared that the Islanders Gm is interested in acquiring Vancouver Canucks forward JT Miller and or Anaheim Ducks Sonny Milano to help add some offence to the Islanders roster this season.
