There's no secret in things are brutal in Chicago. The Blackhawks were one of the best teams of the 200's winning 3 Stanley Cups in 6 years and we're a dynasty. Unfortunately for Blackhawks those days are long gone and with Blackhawks General Manager cleaning house it could be quite awhile before they see the playoffs again.
That doesn't sit well with Blackhawks Captain Jonathan Toews who's voiced his displeasure with the franchise, and hinting he wants to be traded. Toews has been rumoured to be heading back to Canada to play for his home town in Winnipeg, Manitoba. However, If that is going to happen, Winnipeg Jets General Kevin Cheveldayoff is going to have to clear space trading away three players who want a change of scenery.
I'm talking about the trio of Pierre Luc-Dobois, Mark Scheifele, and Jets Captain Blake Wheeler. Cheveldayoff has been looking at offers but yet to make a deal. According to NHL ,Trade Rumors Toews could have to others destinations, the Colorado Avalanche, and New York Rangers.
As for 34 year-old Jonathan Toews, he's in the final year of his current contract that pays him a salary of $10,500,000 million dollars. Toews was drafted by the Blackhawks 3rd overall in 2006, and has played in 1,,014 games, scoring 357 goals, and 495 assists, with a +179 Career rating.
Toews is definitely going to be a first ballot Hall of Famer when he retires, representing and winning numerous medals with Team Canada, aswell as three Stanley Cups with the Blackhawks.
