The NHL Player Safety Has Handed out Punishment to Zack Kassian..
Edmonton Oilers Zack Kassian is known for his rough play especially come playoff time, he is also known for his boneheaded-like decisions that has cost his team on multiple occasions with penalties.
Thursday the two teams met in their heated matchup of game 2, Colorado already leading the series 2-0.
Zack Kassian was sitting on the bench when Avalanche defenseman Bowen Byram was tossed into the boards with a huge hit. Kassian proceeded to rip his helmet off and give him a little nudge to the back of the head.
It was in question if Kassian would receive any discipline, mainly because the action was performed while he wasn't even supposed to be anywhere in play- on the bench.
The NHL has announced they are dining Zack Kassian HALF the amount of the max fine.. $2.25k
