The Ottawa Senators and the Nashville Predators Hold a Moment Of Silence & Tribute For Eugene Melnyk
The Ottawa Senators community and the hockey world have been hit with heartbreaking news on March 28th, 2021 that Senators owner Eugene Melnyk has passed away with a illness.
Eugene saved the Ottawa Senators from folding in 2003 while the club filed for bankruptcy, Melnyk stepped in and purchased the club.
In honour of Eugene the Senators will wear «EM» (initials of Eugene Melnyk) stickers on the back of their helmet for the reminder of the season.
